US weekly retail gasoline demand falls 4.1% on year

New York-US retail gasoline sales volume fell 4.1% in the survey week ended January 6 from the comparable week of 2011, Master- Card Advisors said January 10. A total of 56.306 million barrels, or 8.044 million b/d, was pumped in the most recent survey week. The four-week moving average posted a 3.3% decline year on year to 60.272 million barrels/week.
