Lagos—Shell has sold a further onshore oil block in Nigeria to the country’s state oil company Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. and a local company, NNPC said late July 31. In a statement, NNPC said its upstream subsidiary has a taken over operatorship of onshore oil block OML 34 in the western Niger Delta, which is operated by Shell and is partnered by Italy’s Eni and France’s Total.
