Total launches second phase of Nigerian ofon field

Dubai-Total February 7 launched the start of second-phase development of the Ofon field offshore Nigeria, which it said would come on stream in 2014 and raise production to 90,000 b/d of oil equivalent from 30,000 boe/d currently. Total, which operates the field with a 40% stake in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (60%), said in a statement that construction and instal- lation contracts for the development have been awarded.
