Nigerian fuel retailers mull strike over unpaid subsidy

Lagos—Nigerian petroleum products marketers have threatened to shut down jetties and depots from July 23 over the government’s failure to settle unpaid subsidies on imported fuel. The marketers, under the umbrella body of Jetties and Petroleum Tank Farms Owners of Nigeria, said in a July 20 statement that the government’s failure to pay the subsidy amounted to a breach of contract.
