ConocoPhillips sets second Bohai spill fund

Singapore-ConocoPhillips said September 18 it will create a fund to "specifically address environmental issues" in China's Bohai Bay, a move that comes less than two weeks after it said it would establish a fund to address its "responsibilities" related to oil spills that occurred at the Penglai 19-3 field in June. The company said it would work with co-venturer China National Offshore Oil Corporation or "other appropriate parties" to address environmental issues in the bay.
