London-BP has won UK government approval for a $700 million development in the North Sea set to produce up to 45,000 b/d of oil, the company said September 6. Kinnoull is the largest of three reservoirs that are being developed as a subsea tie-back to BP's Andrew platform in the central North Sea. Kinnoull contains 45 million barrels of oil equivalent and will enable production from Andrew to be extended to 2020 and beyond, BP said.
