Sydney—Australia’s Woodside Petroleum plans to seek amendments to its retention leases over three natural gas fields in the Browse Basin, including a request to delay making a final investment decision on a commercial development of the resources, the company said December 19. “The participants in the Browse joint venture are currently engaged in discussions on the final nature of this planned request for amendments,” Woodside said in a statement. The company operates the Browse joint venture on behalf of its partners BP, BHP Billiton, Chevron and Shell.
