Inpex: ichthys LNG fiD could slip to mid-January

Tokyo-The final investment decision on the Ichthys LNG project in northern Australia could "slip into mid-January 2012" from an earlier target of end of this year, Japanese Inpex said November 18. The Japanese major attributed the possible delay to "administrative constraints during the Christmas season and New Year holiday periods," but it and its only partner, French major Total, still aim to make the FID by the end of this year, it said.
