Caltex Australia expects Q2 fuel output hike

Sydney-Caltex Australia expects its two refineries to raise their combined production to between 2.4 billion and 2.6 billion liters of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel in the second quarter of 2011, according to presentation material released May 9. Production in the first quarter of 2011 was cut by 200 million liters to 2.4 billion liters as a result of an unplanned outage in January at Caltex's 109,000 b/d Lytton refinery in Brisbane on Australia's east coast.
