Canada well completions up amid rig hand shortage

Vancouver-The Petroleum Services Association of Canada has raised its 2011 well completion forecast for the second time despite the continuing slump in natural gas prices and a shortage of rig hands. The association is now targeting 12,950 wells for the year, up 200 from its February prediction and 700 from its initial prediction last November, adding weight to the first quarter's well completion and new well permit tallies.
