SK Innovation swings to $189 million profit

Seoul-South Korea's top oil refiner SK Innovation, formerly SK Energy, said January 20 it swung to a net profit of Won 211.8 billion ($188.9 million) in the fourth quarter of 2010, compared with a net loss of Won 116.9 billion in the year-ago period, led by higher prices and margins. The company's sales revenue in the fourth quarter rose 25.8% year on year to Won 12.20 trillion, compared with Won 9.6 trillion a year ago, while operating profit was Won 443.2 billion, up from Won 0.7 billion previously.
