New York—NYMEX January crude oil settled 35 cents higher December 19 at $93.88/b, pulling up from a drop to $93.04/b but with the upside limited by eurozone concerns. January heating oil settled 2.01 cents lower at $2.7804/gal, while RBOB settled 21 points higher at $2.4891/gal. The death of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il, followed by a short-range missile test off the country’s east coast, was a bit bullish for crude early, said PFGBest analyst Phil Flynn.
