Seoul-South Korea will inject Won 760.3 billion ($647.6 million) ino state-run Korea National Oil Corporation next year, up 7.1% from Won 710 billion this year, to help the company fund acquisitions of overseas oil and natural gas fields, the energy ministry said September 30. The government also plans to extend Won 300 billion via loans to private oil developers in the country next year for upstream expansion overseas, said the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, which is responsible for the energy, industry and commerce sectors.
