China July crude imports dip 3.3% to 4.5 million b/d

Singapore-China imported 19 million mt (4.47 million b/d) of crude oil in July, down 3.26% from the 19.64 million mt recorded a year earlier, according to preliminary figures released August 10 by the country’s General Administration of Customs. Imports in July were down 14.68% from the record-high 22.27 million mt imported by China in June 2010. In the first seven months of this year, China imported 136.97 million mt of crude, up 24.07% from 110.40 million mt in 2009, the data showed.
