China independent refiners plan lower fuel oil imports

Singapore-Independent refineries in eastern China's Shandong province are expected to import less fuel oil as feedstock in June due to low run rates, a Platts survey showed. Shandong refineries are expected to run at 30% in June, down by 5% from May. Around 241,000 mt of imported fuel oil had been fixed for June delivery into Shandong as of May 27, according to shipping fixtures.
