BG Group ups Brazil field resources by 34%

London-The UK's BG Group November 2 announced an upgrade of 2.7 billion barrels of oil equivalent in gross resources at the Tupi, Iracema and Guara fields offshore Brazil at the same time as posting a 27% increase in third-quarter net income to almost $1 billion. BG's new aggregate best estimate of eco- nomically recoverable gross resources for the fields is now 10.8 billion boe, representing a 34% increase on the 8.1 billion boe mid-point of its previous indicative resource range.
