Cheniere inks LNG export MOU with Spain's GNF

Washington-Cheniere Energy Partners said November 29 it signed a non-binding memo- randum of understanding with Gas Natural Fenosa that could permit the Spanish compa- ny to buy as much as 1.5 million mt/year of LNG processing capacity at Cheniere's Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana. Houston-based Cheniere, which owns the 4 Bcf/d LNG import terminal, in August applied to US authorities for permission to export natu- ral gas produced in the Lower-48 states.
