Norway’s DNO loses ruling over Iraq field

Copenhagen-Norway’s DNO International said October 6 it is facing a compensation payout of $55 million-$75 million, much higher than previously thought, after losing an arbitration ruling involving its Tawke oil field in northern Iraq. Unnamed parties thought to be a former US diplomat and a Middle East businessman were seeking damages of some $144 million in a contractual dispute over minority stakes in the field.
