NYMEX June/July crude spread widens as market eyes inventories

New York-The New York Mercantile Exchange June crude oil futures contract settled 4 cents higher May 3 at $86.19/barrel, while the June/July spread widened 75 cents to settle at minus $2.96/b following a sharp sell-off in the last 30 minutes of trading. NYMEX July crude futures settled 79 cents higher at $89.15/b.
