London-Statoil Fuel & Retail, the recently created retail arm of Norway's Statoil, has made its first acquisition by agreeing to buy the St1 fuel network in Poland for an undis- closed sum, the company said December 13. St1 Polska is part of St1 group whose businesses include fuel retail networks in Fin- land, Sweden, Norway and Poland. "From the start, we have emphasised the growth poten- tial in central and eastern Europe," SFR said in a statement. "This acquisition will take us one step further in our efforts to advance our growth ambitions in the Polish market."
