Tokyo Gas posts 1.8% drop in annual profit

Tokyo-Japan's largest city gas supplier Tokyo Gas posted net profit of Yen 41.71 billion ($432 million) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2009, down 1.8% from a year ago, the company said April 28.Tokyo Gas attributed the drop to higher fuel costs, coupled with increased costs resulting from retirement payouts.
