Denali lays out challenges for Alaska line

Anchorage—The joint venture planning a more than $30 billion Alaska natural gas pipeline gave a stark assessment of the proj ect at a business conference here last week in view of large shale gas discoveries being made in the US. Bud Fackrell, president of the Denali pipeline group led by BP and ConocoPhillips, cited the big shale gas finds and unresolved problems with the state of Alaska as major challenges his project faces.
