New York-In a widely watched move, Chevron shareholders rejected a resolution on May 27 asking the company to detail its policies to protect human health, the environment, and the company's reputation.Though broad in its language, the resolution had been pushed by plaintiffs of a 16-year-old case involving environmental damage allegedly left behind in Ecuador and had recently won support from some institutional investors of Chevron (ON 5/26).
