Algeria to cede up to 49% in latest bid round blocks

Algiers-Algeria's state-owned Sonatrach is ready to give foreign partners up to a 49% interest in some of its oil and gas blocks being offered in the country's current licensing round, state news agency APS reported Sonatrach head Mohamed Meziane as saying October 5. Algeria has pre-qualified 74 international oil and gas companies for the round, in which it is offering 10 exploration and production licenses for development.
