ADNOC sticking to major oil, gas projects

Abu Dhabi-The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is committed to implementing all its major oil and gas projects despite the current economic downturn and plans to issue several tenders worth billions of dollars this year and next, a company official said February 11. Ismail Ramahi, manager of gas processing within ADNOC’s E&P division, told the Gas Arabia conference in Abu Dhabi that a package of contracts would be awarded this year for development of the Shah sour gas field, which was awarded to ConocoPhillips two years ago and is one of the mega-projects being undertaken by the OPEC oil-producing state.
