Private Essar Oil inks product sales to HPCL and BPCL

Singapore-Private Indian refiner Essar Oil has signed long-term contracts with stateowned marketers Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited to sell a total of 5.3 million mt/year of products from its Vadinar refinery, Essar said late February 10. Essar operates the 10.5 million mt/year (210,000 b/d) refinery in the western Indian state of Gujarat. The facility has been running at more than 12 million mt/year since it began commercial operations on May 1, 2008.
