Singapore-India's state-owned refiner Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited May 29 reported a stellar January-March quarter with a net profit of Rupees 36.28 billion ($758.52 million), more than 62 times the profit in the corresponding period of 2008.However, three dismal quarters up to the end of 2008 slashed net profit for the fiscal year ended March 31 by more than half to Rupees 7.36 billion ($154 million).
