Nigeria LNG begins output at Bonny Train 6

Lagos—Nigeria LNG’s Train 6 has started pro- duction, raising output from the plant on Bonny Island to 22 million mt/year, a spokesman for the LNG consortium said January 8. “Production commenced from Train 6 of the Bonny plant on December 23,” the spokesman said. “The train was handed over to the company [Nigeria LNG] on December 14.” Output from the new production line will be 4 million mt/year, he added. The Bonny LNG plant’s five other trains currently produce 18 million mt/year of LNG.
