Chevron's North Duri project to cost $816 million

Jakarta-Chevron Pacific Indonesia plans to spend $816 million on an expansion of the North Duri project in Central Sumatra which would boost the field's crude output by 45,000 b/d by 2013, a senior government official said November 26. "Chevron plans to develop the second and third phases within North Duri field next year," said R. Priyono, chairman of Indonesia's upstream regulator, BPMigas. "The two phases of the project are expected to give an additional output of 45,000 b/d at peak production."
