Central Asian states to hike gas price in 2009

Moscow—Three Central Asian republics—Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan—are to start selling natural gas at international prices from 2009, considerably higher than their current prices, Russia’s gas giant Gazprom said March 11, following a meeting with the three countries’ national oil and gas companies.
