ICE sweetens takeover bid for CBOT as CME merger moves forward

New York—IntercontinentalExchange, in a pitched battle for control of the Chicago Board of Trade, said late June 12 it has sweetened its offer for CBOT and will file a proxy statement to oppose CBOT’s proposed merger with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
