SPC’s 2006 profit falls 29% on poor refining margins in second half

Singapore—Singapore Petroleum Company’s net profit for 2006 fell 29.5% on the year to S284.6 million (185 million), as refining margins fell sharply in the second half of the year, the company said January 24. Revenue, however, jumped 14.7% on the year to a record S8.6 billion on the back of high oil prices.
