Singapore-Indian oil refiners and ethanol manufacturers have finally agreed on an average price of around Rupee 21/liter (46 cents/liter or 1.74/gallon) for the octane booster, paving the way for oil companies to expand sales of 5% ethanol-blended gasoline across the country, industry sources said. The two groups are expected to finalize the deals in the next few days, a source said November 2.
