Qatar reduces stake in condensate refinery

Dubai-State-owned Qatar Petroleum has added new shareholders to its subsidiary, Laffan Refinery Company, after signing a deal giving four Japanese companies a combined 29% stake in the planned 146,000 b/d gas condensate refinery, QP said November 28. The new Japanese shareholders are Idemitsu Kosan, Cosmo Oil, Mitsui, and Marubeni, the company said in a statement. "Idemitsu and Cosmo will each take a 10% interest in this new deal with Mitsui and Marubeni each taking a 4.5% interest in the Laffan Refinery Company," the statement said.
