Bit by bit,Senate begins disclosing US energy bill

After three months of discussions and negotiations,the Senate Energy Committee is disclosing its proposed comprehensive energy bill piecemeal,releasing several titles May 13,with additional provisions expected to be released this week.Unlike last year,when the panel's Republican majority excluded Democrats from the drafting process,this year's goal is to produce bipartisan legislation.The portions released represent "a number of important agreements," Committee chairman Pete Domenici (Republican-New Mexico) said in a statement.
