New York-Some gasoline consumers in the US Southeast remained in panic mode September 29 despite the return of more than half the Gulf of Mexico oil production shut by Hurricane Ike and the restart of all but two Gulf Coast refineries.However,an announcement by Colonial Pipeline late September 29 held hope for those seeking fuel.The key East Coast products supplier said it had hit"the same flow-rates for gasoline deliveries as the pipeline managed before Hurricanes Gustav and Ike hit the Gulf Coast refining region earlier this month."The company warned,however,that supplies moving on its line remain dependent on shipper availability.
