Singapore-An oil tanker August 23 became the first Vietnamese ship to anchor at a US port,signaling a milestone for the southeast Asian nation's fledging shipping sector,state-owned media reported August 29.According to the official Nhan Dan newspaper,the Vinashin Victory oil tanker,owned by the Bien Dong Transport Company,shipped more than 40,000 mt of oil from Japan and reached the port of San Francisco after a 13-day voyage.
