Opec members and other key oil-producing states have agreed to meet in Doha on Apr. 17 in a follow-up to the breakthrough talks held in the Qatari capital last month that spawned a plan to freeze oil output at January levels. "To date, around 15 Opec and non-Opec producers, accounting for about 73% of global oil output, are supporting this initiative," Qatari Energy Minister Mohammed al-Sada, who is also the current Opec president, said in a statement on Wednesday that ended weeks of speculation about the timing and location of the next "freeze" gathering.
