Brent Outage to Last Weeks

Royal Dutch Shell said Monday that production from its four Brent platforms in the UK North Sea will be shut in for several weeks to carry out repairs after an accident on one of the platforms. Shell evacuated all nonessential personnel from Brent Bravo on Jan. 15 and halted production after a heavy protective fender fell into the sea. The other platforms Alpha, Charlie and Delta were also closed as a precaution. No one was harmed.
