Wuhan seeks financial backing for CR expansion

China's Wuhan Iron & Steel Group is seeking financial backers in order to proceed with construction of a new cold rolling mill at its Hubei province works.The proposed 2.15m tpy capacity project will enable Wuhan's listed arm, Wuhan Steel Processing Co, to produce cold rolled strip between 0.30mm and 2.33mm thick and 700-2,080mm wide. Output from the new mill will be consumed by domestic customers in the automotive and shipbuilding sectors and at Wuhan's galvanizing and colour-coating plant.
