Brazil: gMOP prices soften at high end of range

Prices for granular MOP in Brazil have decreased at the high end of the assessed price range, with a producer this week saying that sales in the $230s/mt CFR are not currently achievable. Some suppliers have suggested that buyers have been providing low bids in an attempt to secure cargoes at levels below last week’s assessed range of $220-240/mt CFR, following previous suggestions that prices had fallen below $220/mt CFR.
