OMV kicks off Norway probe

Austria’s OMV has started drilling of a follow-up well to the recent Wisting Central discovery in the Barents Sea. The semi-submersible rig Leiv Eiriksson is drilling well 7324/7-1S, which is targeting the nearby Wisting Alternative prospect around 5km northwest of the original find in Production Licence 537 (PL 537).
