Valeura Energy said the Gurgen-2 appraisal well in the Thrace Basin is producing an average 3,000 Mcf/d of gas, up 18% from third quarter 2014. Gurgen-2, the first of two planned appraisal wells on the Gurgen discovery, was spudded on 30 Nov. and was drilled in 14 days to a vertical depth of 2,000 m into the Osmancik formation.
