Syria Raises Gas Output

War-torn Syria has started gas production from a newly completed well at the Sadad onshore field in Homs province north of Damascus, the country's petroleum and mineral resources ministry said. Production from the Sadad-6 well, drilled to a depth of almost 3,700 meters, started Sunday, with output averaging between 450,000-500,000 cubic meters per day of gas. This brings total output from the Sadad field up to 1.1 MMcm/d, the ministry said in a statement.
