Baghdad, Erbil Still Stalled Over Exports, Budget

Fuad Hussein, chief of staff to Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Massoud Barzani, said the KRG had asked Baghdad not to single it out in the draft 2014 budget as providing 400,000 b/d toward Iraq's 3.4 million b/d export target, according to local media network Rudaw. Hussein also asked that penalties linked to the KRG's failure to provide 400,000 b/d of exports be amended, "so that Kurds will vote for the 2014 budget in parliament."
