Japan's Direct Burn Crude Imports Show Rare Drop

Japan's imports of crude for direct burning by utilities fell year-on-year for the first time in almost two years, while imports of Iranian crude continued to lag last year's levels in November, according to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry data. Imports from Iran, however, did show a slight increase from October levels despite Western sanctions targeting the Iranian oil sector.
