Yemen’s embattled President Ali Abdullah Saleh left his country on Sunday to travel to the US for medical treatment, bringing Yemen a step closer ending Saleh’s 33-year rule. Saleh travelled first to Oman and then he will continue on to the US “to complete the remainder of the treatment [for] injuries suffered in the attack,” said the official state news agency Saba Sunday. Saleh was seriously injured in a blast last year at his presidential palace.
