Iberdrola-owned Scottish Power said Monday it has opened two Scottish wind farms with a combined generation capacity of 180 MW, taking its operational wind farm capacity in the UK to more than 1 gigawatt. The two wind farms could supply 100,000 homes and save 160,000 tons of carbon dioxide compared with traditional fossil-fuel power stations.
