The noose appeared to be tightening around the regime of Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi on Tuesday amid reports that opposition forces had seized his compound in Tripoli and taken control of more areas of the capital. But with rebels and regime loyalists still engaged in heavy fighting in Tripoli, and the Qaddafi stronghold of Sirte still in government hands, the rebels have more work to do before they can claim victory.
