Austria's OMV saw its oil and gas production drop to 304,000 boe/d in the first quarter of 2011 from 320,000 boe/d the previou quarter because of political upheaval in Liby and Yemen. In a trading update on Thursday, the Austrian firm said its Libyan output was normal until Feb. 20, but has since effectively halted As a result, its first-quarter production from Libya -which accounted for around 10% o its global output last year -slumped to an average of 18,700 b/d from 32,800 b/d in 2010. In Yemen, it said production halted on Mar. 14 after an attack on an export pipeline Total production in the first three months of 2010 averaged 317,000 boe/d.
